I agree. I would stay away from that. I'm thinking about going with some magnaflows or flowmasters

When I had my 92 pickup with a 350 in it I was tempted to put one or two of those on it just to see what it'd sound like Then I picked one up and saw it was nothing but an empty pipe that went from something like a 2" pipe to a 4 or 5" pipe.

Ended doing what was right and used a magnaflow cat which I think was made by some company called carsound or something, and a flowmaster kit with 3" pipe from the manifolds all the way to the back. the flowmaster and magnaflow stuff treated me well for years.

Funny thing tho, I started with a flowmaster 40 and the best flowing cat I could find. And after 5 years i put a flowmaster 70 on it. I was tired of the constant noise especially when trying to talk to people while driving. But boy did it sound good, especially going under overpasses on highways with the windows down.

I think I just got old

"the ****ty honda engine and bad workmanship does it."

Ok normally I would just ignore comments like this but,

We have a 2006 Saturn Vue with a Honda 3.5L 60 deg V6 in it. And if anything it makes the 3800 look really bad.

its 250HP N\A with a very nice torque curve. Tho what would you expect from 10.5:1 compression (on 87 octane) 4 valves per cylinder and variable valve timing with aluminum heads and block.

Not only this, but it also sounds better then a 3800 especially above 4500rpm where the valve timing changes.

Don't get me wrong, I bought my GP because it had the 3800 III in it and I knew it was reliable. But to insult all Honda engines when some of their V6's are amazing seems wrong and ignorant.

you misinterpreted my intentions... most fartcan hondas are the old civics in which case the guy that put them on clamps them to the stock and sometimes rusted exhaust. i was never insulting honda performance... im simply saying that a fartcan only got its name from these stereotypes... the correct term is turbo muffler...

Couldn't agree more dude your 100% right.

Altho I've seen the name "turbo muffler" on many mufflers that did not look like an empty tube. And they were always inline not at the rear of the car.
