So I have a question. I was looking at a BMW M3 and, if I remember right they are a 3.0 L I6. And I know that they have roughly 333 HP. Now if I am right I have almost a full liter on it. Is it possible to get stock M3 HP from my 3800 safely with out having to spray or boost it. I would also like to do this on somewhat of a budget. Thanks guys.

What your trying to do and your last comment make it almost im possible. Your going to need cam, better heads, exhaust and the inserts for the intake. I currently drive a 02 gt and Im seriously thinking of doing a cam, a metal intake off the newer 3800s and maybe nitrous. Itd be different make a very trouble free DD and power will be their when needed. I drive 90 miles to work every day and reliability comes 1st. Cheap, Fast, Reliable you can only have 2.

whatever you want. no one has ever found the limit to them.

however, making power n/a is going to be a giant waste of money.

So DOHC with variable timing with light bottom end for high revving versus OHV with heavy bottom end and pancake pistons for torque?

I see.... but you need to understand the basics of engine design and how to get power from them.

Only engines that make decent power N/A from GM that are OHV are LSx engines and the old school V8's.

Even those are limited to just under 100 horse per litre of displacement if naturally aspirated.
