u just take it out for a minute and take it around the block. just to feel the power gain, then you put it back in then go get a cat put on it works all the time, ive been doin it for a lil over 12yrs now. u can use a back pressure tester but half the tyme the cat is parshally clogged and wont tell u much.![]()
Yeah, no problem. Other than the fact that it's illegal. When the car is taken to the dealership they check for it. Also when the emission is updated during registration renewal, they check for the cat. Some small towns don't have to worry about it, but I don't wanna take the chance.
ive never had any of my cars checked ever. maybe iowa doesnt do emissions tests? idk
I'm getting set to change out the dp and cat on my commuter GT to 3", not sure where to find the best deal. Does the zzp 3" dp and cat come with gaskets, etc to hook up to stock cat back? i know about the $50 cat return credit for later purchase, I just want to get the best deal out there. Already spend some dough on 1/2 extension and 1/2 universal. DIY on a
Sunny Saturday. Shade Tree not Monster Garage here.
there is a dropdown and you can select the gaskets in the same window as the dp
