Hey guys I don't have time to surf the forum been busy with ALOT of things so if you guys can help that would be GREAT!! If there is answers already just post the link PLEASE!!!!! Anyways my cousin has a 01 gp gt. She has had it for 5yrs and NEVER changed the plugs and wires..im doing that for her this Sunday. The problem she is having is sometimes the car wont start then she will wait and it will...of course that could be cause the plugs and wires but since she hasent ever maintained her car I was wondering what else I could do to kinda tune it up. Like cleaning the MAF and so on. Also she has been driving it on the freeway and when she goes to give it gas it wont really go anywhere and the RPMS just drops as if she turned the car off she tried to give it gas and nothing. So if you guys would please suggest what can or needs to be done. And I don't really know how to do the MAF or anything else so if you could explain how thank you guys SOO much!

my car had 110,000mi on the stock plugs before i changes them ha

as for the tune up you should do:
    -plugs
    -wires
    -fuel filter
    -air filter
    -coolant flush
-check PCV valve for gunk build up if so replace that too
-and tell her to start taking care of her GP!

and im probably forgetting other things so ill let other people tell you. but theres a start
'04 Chevy Silverado LT 4x4 - intake, headers, full exhaust, zo6 cam, 799 heads, tune, leveled, 33's
'00 Grand Prix GTP DAYTONA 500 - L36 block, S1X, intercooled, GenV, N*, headers, full exhaust, coilovers, 5 speed swap, stage 3+ clutch

O yes I flipped when she told me she has never changed them! Okay and coolant flush is that something I could do and could I change the fuel filter? Again thanks so much!

To clean the maf you need some tamper proof torx bits and you remove the maf and clean it with MASS AIR FLOW CLEANER not brake clean or carb cleaner. The fuel filter you need a 16mm line wrench and a 20mm wrench IIRC. Spray it with some pb when you start doing everything else and change that last. After you replace the fuel filter prime the fuel pump about 4 times and then start it.
