i developed a CNC porting program for the L32/L67 two years ago. its absolute performance was disappointing to me, and the cost was too high for what it was. I've been designing aluminum heads which use state of the art ports. they will flow well over 300 cfm - they're not bolt on. The relocated valves and port locations require a new intake manifold, and new headers - and may not fit in a w body. 500 hp comes at 8000+ rpm...big cam, titanium valves, rocker arms, forged internals, etc. the 3800 was designed as a low speed engine (with ****ty ports), so you can imagine that it takes a lot to get it to spin fast - a lot of money!

I'd bet mine spins just as fast...and I didn't spend your average adoption costs to get there. It's called balanced and lightened rotating assembly, guy.

I wasn't bull$hittin. This was a relatively quick model of a tall port race-ready head for the 3800. This has been on my mind for years. I like the look of the SB2 and Mopar W9 heads. My enthusiasm for this project was dampened with the rumour of the LV3 gen v ls based V6 allegedly due next year.

Tickling 300 cfm with a 1.89" intake valve, and the minimum port area is no bigger than the stock gasket! Right about 400 bhp on a streetable engine - big lope and pump gas. Relocated exhaust port flange. Requires custom intake, coolant cross over/valley tray, valve covers, shaft mounted rockers, valves and header flanges. As it stands, I could have this machined, bolt them up and make power...ethanol only - the accessory bosses are not shown.

In reality, I need to start with peanut ports and develop the ports. Someone has already approached me to make this...I'm still open to this project

I may have connections to have this cast with coolant jackets. Realistic price would be below ZZP's, even with the required hardware, and they've ended production. Even as cast they'd bury the ZZP head.

Some of you might remember this car from back in 2004/05. I had the highest dyno for an NA car (for a week) at 233 hp. The mods are in the video.. but a quick breakdown.

    GT1 cam
Milzy stage 2 heads 90 lb LS1 valve springs
    shifted at 6800 rpm (lolcopter)
    3800 stall
    S&S headers
other minor stuff ( can't remember it all), but that was the major parts.

Video of my LTZ - Car Videos on StreetFire

and yeah.. that's my Lumina on Milzy's website.

No offense to the NA peeps here. It was fun while it lasted when I was NA. Just dumping that much money into an NA FWD car was pointless.

I sold the heads, cam package for about $1300. Got the GTP motor for $800 and went 13.9 with a bad fuel pump a few weeks later.
