I just noticed somethin... After reading everones post except for bio an erdgt1 u jus flipped everything i had into somethin negative rather than giving me props or casual advice u try to still down my ride. Kinda weird. Almost seems like u cant wait to see me mess up or dont want me to have a quick car or somethin.. At least give some kind of compliment rather than bashin all the time lol.
I need a camera first. All i have is my cell phone an plus my friends gtx is down for the moment. But he still has his 20's on an im runnin on my stocks for the moment. Still think i cant hang huh???Quote:

Yeah i think hell still get me from a dig But id have a better chance if we did a roll around 40 or so. My predictions from a dig hell take off an stay about a car length an a half up until around 50 to 55 then ill slowly start to catch up an be either neck an neck or hell prolly have almost half a car length in front of me up until 80 or 90. Thats what im thinkin for now... But this weekend im puttin in motor mounts, and a fenderwell intake. Dont know how much of a difference theryre going to make but for now with my current set up those were my predictions for if we raced now or somethin.Quote:

An hes supercharged lol. Hell easily get me from a dig because of boost. Im goin from personal experience from a dig he gets me horribly even with 3:29 gears but from a roll i can always hang a lil longer.. He's still all stock except for factory SLP Parts but ive noticed since i put on my headers an tune it really pulls around 40 to 50 mph thats why i said that.
Maybe because the headers gained you a little bit of power then your stock exhaust setup? And...get you easier from a dig? You make it sound like his boost is only used on the launch...it doesn't go away dude...it keep building..its a Roots type setup.
Yeah thats true but NA GTs have horrible 0 to 60 times. I dont know whats mine currently but b4 it took like 8 secs to get up to 60 an by that time my friend had like 2 car lengths on me but when we race around a 50 or 60 roll he just starts creepin past slowly up until 90 an would prolly have like a car length an a half or somethin. Really eager to try my new setup on a GTP tho an see how it goes. If i lose oh well just more motivation to make it even quicker ya kno.Quote:

Doesnt really matter, dont know if u have horrible memory or what but like i said already just adding little upgrades to it now an cross them over when i get thr L67 swap. An N/A GP'S arent dogs theyre actually pretty descent cars for theyre class. Now if i go out tryin to target WS6'S, Modded Mustang GT'S, an other V8 or boosted V6 cars im sure they would be considered dogs. But a modded N/A 3800 V6 VS. other modded N/A V6s im sure they can hold theyre ground very well considered of the years they were out.:)Quote:

Yea those have the advantage of time an progress tho. It would go the same for the camaro v6 over 300 hp or the g8 v6 (compared to 215 around older years). But from races i won in my prix im pretty shocked at what it won or barely hung on too. I wonder what kind of setup would they run if they currently still made gps. I heard the impala LTZ's have around 250hp an theyre all motor. Possibly the same setup as those except for a couple of tweaks to make the gps a lil better as before.
Well first off they'd either have the high vale of the high feature line which are based on chevy motors, not the 3800.
And all I'm saying is, why the **** did GM keep the 3800 alive so long? (To satisfy shareholders and hold off closing a plant)
It was outdated unless they wanted to get a little more creative with the boost situation (GNX ver 2.0 anyone?)
400 HP factory GP's would have be nice :)

Right...but there is better technology, light weight, stronger, more effiecient engines...the new 3.5 is actually a DOHC V6...the H.O. version is a higher displacement 3.9 liter pushrod V6 in the GTP...and it makes what...260 horse to the crank? withOUT the blower? Just goes to show you that newer technology is making better, more powerful engines and not having to use boost as the replacement.Quote:

3.6L high feature is the most powerful V6 gm produces right now... ~304 hp in the camaro
