switch the resonator with a glasspack (24"+) and get some very mellow mufflers like borla or stock ones even.

flowmasters will drone more than your exhuast does now, i know by experience. i ripped my flowmasters off and put them in the garbage in exchange for a stock catback. i enjoy the blower whine, not dirty 3800 exhaust note. either way, i would shy away from chambered or straight through mufflers. they are made for v8s, not a raspy v6.

they do sound good at idle and WOT if you have a glasspack to smooth them out. however, i did not enjoy how they droned on the highway and that is a big part of what i drove everyday.

I like the sound of the stock muffler on our GP GT. Always have. It has just the right amount of rasp to it for a V6. It's very hard to get a V6 to sound good. I'm wondering if I can get one at a junkyard and retrofit it onto an '07 V6 Mustang?

there are mufflers that the v6 mustang guys like a lot, they are called MAC mufflers. you could experiment with those, too.

    I don't want a rusted muffler. I'll stick with a California junkyard.
