I read in the safely modding 3800 sticky that the NA motors have the cam timing off one degree from the factory. Would there be gains from changing this to 0* or any other degree? What is the reason for the timing being off?

they only do this so the timing on the n/a can be used more. putting it at 0 would make your car slower.

im not sure that many people have ventured into changing the cam timing. do you know enough about motors to make sure you can do it? do you have the time and money to switch cam timing a few times to find one you like?

see where im going with this?

sure i see where you are going...but it would be sure nice to hear if someone already went through it to find either gains to be had or leaving it stock to be the best
