The only thing on my list that I wouldn’t recommend you doing is the tranny pan drop. All the rest of the stuff can be done easily with basic tools.
PCV = Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve
This is just a fancy name for a $3 check valve, it is under your MAP sensor. Very easy and cheap job no tools needed.
TB = Throttle Body
Just take some carb cleaner to it and blast what you can see. Then lightly lube the pivot and your linkages, use real oil not WD-40. Only tool you need is a screwdriver.
The MAF cleaning is easy, just treat it gentle. Use MAF cleaner or contact cleaner, don’t touch it or bang it around. Also disconnect your battery before doing anything to it.
The spark plugs, if you have never done them before you better read up on it first. Even though they are easy to do people mess it up all day long. Don’t ask me how they do it
Anyway, my advice to you is do one thing at a time. So if you mess up you know where to look. I can’t even tell you how many times people spend a Saturday or a Sunday working on their car then come on here looking for help because it won‘t run, then giving the list of stuff they messed with.![]()
