400-450 whp is what I'm looking to achieve. The Z3 should accomplish that, hey?

first of all, why are you shooting so high? are you looking to run consistent mid 11s at the track or are you just wanting a fun car to romp on when youre driving around and beat up on a few unsuspecting sports cars?

either way a 400 whp grand prix us STUPID fast compared to what you have now. a 400+ whp turbo car will constantly be breaking axles and its just not a car you would want to drive everyday unless you have a ton of money to keep it running. youre going to need a transmission almost right after you put a turbo on your car as well. all im trying to say is, i dont think you know what youre getting yourself into. a rocker setup on a turbo car will run 12s at the track EASY and push 300+ whp. you really need to think about what you want out of this car.

Lol. I was actually just about to post, and say that I think I'm going to step it down a notch. I'm going to scratch the idea of a cam, and go with a 1.9 rocker setup. I'm wanting to run 12's at the track, so I think that will be fine. I'm really sorry for all these questions. I'm still in the learning process of all these different modifications.

Hey guys. I'm still going to go ahead with the Z3 turbo build, but instead of the camshaft, I may just go with a rocker setup. Any suggestions on which ones I should get? I was thinking about the ZZP 1.9 ratio modified rockers.

    Thanks again!

Ok. And what valve springs, retainers etc. should I get with those? The 105#'s? Also, would I be able to install these into my N/A engine before getting the turbo installed? I want to do this install in small pieces because it's so damn expensive! Haha.

I think the 105's would work for them. Then you just use the modded retainers with them. Yes you could run them on your car while it is still n/a.

Just a suggestion but what about maybe a 100 or a 125 wet shot? That paired with the rockers you want should easily put down over 300whp and would be a ton cheaper than a turbo set up. Again just a thought, i know some people are for nitrous and some people are against it.

Thanks for the suggestion man. I've thought about it, but I think I still want to go with the turbo. I've heard too many good thing about turbo setups on these cars. Lol.
