now about the guy that said f23 accords are faster than the j30, i think not. i raced 2 many of those in my accord and they couldnt hang. even with there 5 speed trannys. now about an ls b18, he is rite until u get 2 top end, then the extra 2 cylinders in the accord finally do something. they are not very fast, just a daily driver that i stopped racing cause i dont wanna have to replace the tranny. i do the racing in the gtp.

Something to also take into consideration is most Honda drivers aren't the greatest with the extra tedious task of having a clutch and changing the gears manually. Can't tell you how many times I hear them grinding gears with their poor shifting. HOWEVER, you get a guy who isn't completely retarded and knows how to drive, than I guarantee the F23 would take a J30

On a side note, Accords are junk pre J35! No sense in arguing for a lame ass car. When will people learn that an Accord is more for comfort than performance.

clearly I brought this to the wrong forum. why is everyone hating so much? christ, f*cking grow up. I'm 17, and I have owned about 10 cars over the last 12 months. I bought the Accord at first with 227xxx miles on it, it needed a valve so I said **** it so I ported/polished head while I was at it. I installed a REAL K&N intake, put a Borla catback system on it, and drove it. I sold it with 232xxx miles to a girl who worked at the license bureau, she got a DUI in it and needed a new car so I bought it back from her because I kinda missed it. It was my first car.
And believe what you want, my buddy has a 1996 Integra GSR with an Apexi N1 exhaust, AEM intake and its chipped. I let him drive it after I beat him by a length in a race at a 30 roll, and again at a dead stop. He agrees that it is faster than his.

Oh and by the way, I also beat a royal blue CRX with the B18 in it, N/A, with intake.

Oh and by the way, I did indeed beat a GTP, it was a 2001, with cherry bomb turbo mufflers. We did a 25 roll and he had me by a length, then at about 65 I passed him.

The Accord now has 243xxx miles on it with no signs of wear on the tranny, or... anywhere! And I beat the crap out of this car. The car looks like it has 25k on it. And obviously you guys are all egotistic so I'll gladly await your biased reply.

Honestly, my Grand Prix's tranny feels noticeably worst than my Accord.

and @ missyfisch - Retarded? Coming from the guy who capitalizes every word? Tool.

Keep in mind I have a Ep3 Si Civic sitting in my garage right now. So you're wrong about me being biased.

I totally dissagree with everything Missyfisch said. Dude has 3 posts haha. Not exactly the greatest credibility in my book. I truely think Honda and Nissan are putting out far superior motors than some crap we have. Hell, K20 would do circles around the LSJ in the Cobalt. Makes the same amount of power, and that's without boost. Add boost to the equation and you have one hell of a car.. Especially when you consider the amount of boost the K20 can handle on stock internals (upwards of 20+ psi). J35 is another awesome engine. 260-280hp Sorry to say, but far better design than the L67. Makes more power and has awesome top end, once again, n/a motor.

That being said, no way, no how are you beating a B18c. Make as much power as the J30 in a car that weighs 400lbs less AND was manual? Let alone a tiny ass CRX which weighs something stupid like 1800lbs-2000lbs fully loaded. Not even taking into cosideration most motor swapped rex's are completely stripped. I'm not dumb man... Then there's the GTP :/ Dude must have been knocking like crazy because you'd have no chance against a healthy L67. As far as transmissions go, I said it before and i'll say it again. Both the J30 Accord and Grand Prix have junk transmissions. However, I do hear alot more issues with the trans in the Accords. If you don't have issues, than hell yeah man! Consider yourself lucky. Replacing transmissions is GHEY!

I don't want to come off as a "imports are ghey, stupid ricer" American car elitest because i'm totally the oposite man. I've worked on more Hondas than I have American. And I have loads of respect for them. I don't just write them off as ricers. Just don't take everything so personal. I rip on my car all the time haha. Got eaten alive by a manual Altima SE-R with the mods my car sits at (aside from the 3.29 gears and headers).. And that's stock (good driver of course) and no boost. So don't think for one second i'm biased man. I just think you haven't been in enough fast cars if you think a weak J30 is quick

Alright man.. I respect that post. I just felt like you were coming off like Mr. D. Baggerson at first.

But honestly dude. I have beaten a CRX B18, and a GTP. The dude in the CRX was a fatty though so maybe the weight was off lol. The kid in the GTP just thought his car was hot ****.

But yeah man thanks for clearing the air, I didn't want to have to hate you. I haven't driven anything like a Trans Am or nothin, but to me that Accord was pretty quick. I only have $1800 invested into it now after I sold it to the girl for $3200 the first time.

This dude is a girl for one, and I guess you living in CA, I see why you also would have a foreign car. If you would live in the real world like Michigan, you would see how bad the foreign car market has hurt us ALL!! Oh my 3 post, Sorry I don't sit on the computer all day and write back to everyones post.

honestly missy, get your KKK-loving, non-coherent ass outta here.

I'm an american car lover too, but I'm not an ignorant douche like yourself because guess what? Honda actually makes some pretty good vehicles and has made some ground-breaking innovations with their vehicles. Ever heard of variable valve timing? Otherwise known as VTEECCCCCCCCC!!!!!1!!ONE!!!! Is now coming standard on American vehicles such as o, idk, 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 HEMI.

You're an inbred. You're knowledge is laughable at best, and so are you.
