I am selling the car in my profile pic in favor of a newer one with 40000 less miles and I will be putting a turbocharger on it as well as any other upgrades the gurus on this forum deem worthy of this generally undervalued car. I know for sure I will also be getting an upgraded trans for it as well. Any opinions on the best place to buy a turbo kit for this car would be most appreciated.

ZZP is your only good place to get a kit unless you know how to weld and can make your own setup.

The Z3 kit is a refined Z7 but do not underestimate it, they did that because they saw advantages in the redesign and cost savings. The refinements like open dump wastegate can offer advantages over the Z7. Your dollar per horsepower is going to be best with the Z3. The stattama kit would be your balls out option.

I believe the Z7 offers some borg warners now also, and they are still nice turbos.

What kind of injectors would I need to get? I was looking at the kits on ZZP and they say something about running GTP injectors. Will I need to upgrade the injectors in the car as well or can I keep the ones that are in the car now?

I would say get at least #42.5 injectors if not #65.

I know ZZ hold many records for the 3800 platform and have been make many great (and some bad) products. But if your shopping around for a turbo try a Cartuning turbo kit. Great product and they are made very well.
Check them out i have seen many TGP's here in Canada and it is a great product. Check out their website.

for injectors go with the 42#, the 65's are harder to tune for idle and unless you plan on running 15lbs of boost probably not needed.

lol its only crap if you buy it brand new! The price these kits are going for used is what they should be selling for new, good kit, just not worth that much.

Ok than lets all hail ZZ performance!!! Bow down to them....he asked where he could get a turbo kit and i answered!! Then everyone came rushing in bashing a great Canadian product.....maybe some of you had a bad experience with them....i have ordered from ZZ many times and 6 times out of 10 they get it wrong and i have to wait longer to get my car ready. But i still go to them. everyone has had a bad experience with aftermarket parts but dont push other people away from an option and yes a GREAT product! EH!

    Oh yeah there eh?

Let me tell you something eh?

No one is praising ZZP. I hate ZZP. They are just saying if you want a turbo kit get one from ZZP...because if you don't live in Cananda...good luck getting support from Cartuning...but do you know from experience eh? Do you have a cartuning kit on your car? Didn't think so eh.

I have a cartuning kit. It was probably the best kit available a few years ago but there are hardly any refinements since it was released. ZZP on the other hand has a nice kit with plenty of refinements over the years at a lower cost.
