Hello, I have a '00 GT with a 3.8, and I'm in the process of removing the intake. I'm at the fuel rails and I have everything disconnected, but I can't seem to get the fuel injectors to come out. I can get them rotate, but they wont come out. Can someone give me a little insight and tell me what I'm missing? Thanks!!

Well, I’ll assume they are similar to my 08. I hope someone can confirm quick.

They all come out together with the fuel rail. Just pull straight up from the middle, but of course there are 4 nuts holding the fuel rail down that need to be removed first.

Ten years of continuous driving excitement and counting!

they should pop out by pulling on them, of course without damaging them. its the o rings doing there job, thats y its being difficult. just tug on them, if anything u will need new o rings. did mine like that when i replaced the lim gaskets.

A tip for this is to spray a little pb blaster at the o-rings to help them to soften and come out.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

ok, stupid question here but how do you get the little clips off the plug to the injectors without breaking them? I'm pretty mech inclined here but cant seem to figure out what exactly to do to not break this plastic pos taking it apart! I'm used to wrenching on my 69 gto and this new stuff with all the wiring looks like a birds nest to me. ive got all the plugs apart except the ones going to the injectors. I know I can get them apart but I figured before I break something for no reason I'd ask ahead of time as to what the "trick" is so to speak. It was beer time anyway!!

oops! nevermind!! I was trying to remove the clips instead of pushing them towards the supercharger for lack of a better term here. Maybe this will help someone else out though... Bonehead move here!!!
