Like the title states, has anyone ever have a problem with their top swap or what's the worst problem that anyone has encountered with the top swap?

Worst problem I've seen people have is blown motor, bad bearings etc.

Tuning is stated to be the biggest part of the swap and it is.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

i had no problems that were directly related to my top swap besides my transmission giving out on me. its a very solid setup (as its OEM for the most part).

most people spin bearings after top-swap. This could be done from careless installation and spilling coolant into the lifter valley. If you flush down the lifter valley with motor oil before bolting on the lim, you should be fine.

Ive been running mine since early june. I put 3k on my car since. Only problem is a leaking valve cover (easy fix) and now i need a trans.

this guy I know is really good with the 3800 engines, what he will be the one to do the top swap on my car. but it wont be till next year, so it gives me the whole winter to shop around for parts. I saw morad has all the parts I need, more than likely I will go with him. I just hope that the super charger is in good shape.
