I hope this thread gets deleted...there is nothing useful in here besides Bluegtp's write-up and suggestions and a few other suggestions from other guys.

haha im pretty sure this was directed to me... well its kind of crazy that your gt has nearly identical mods to the one i had.. and my L(oser) 32 (most stupid insult i have heard in my life... especially since the l36 also starts with an L) would kick the **** out of my gt dont know what gtps you were racing.. maybe the pre 97? but i agree there is too much fail in this post...

I'll post it until the point gets across that you can't just drop pulley sizes and expect your car to be fast and reliable...cuz it won't be anywhere near that. And a colder set of plugs, 180*, and a PCM tune sure as hell isn't going to cut it...sh*t, even a u-bend delete isn't enough work.

Actually gts arent that slow considering ive beat a 06 or newer impala SS a 95 mustang gt quiet a few ricers and beat my friends gtx once(du to his crank sensor messing up) so with mods like unda6gt has im pretty sure mine could easily beat a gtp. But all i was saying from the start wasnt event about droppin a smaller pulley it was about somethin i could get upgraded while my engine and tranny was being swapped to save money down the road(read first thing i posted) u gtp folks the ones who directed straight it towards the pulley thing

    You said this...

You sure you didn't start off the pulley talk? That is from page one. Kinda hard to defend yourself when it is out there in black and white dude.

All I am saying is keep your stories straight if your going to try and keep your own thread on track. And FWIW, I said cam it while it was out and you said it is a waste of money...so fine...don't listen to someone who HAS DONE IT. And the only reason I was doing this was to show people that we tried to help but you don't want to listen so were back to square one.

So your putting a GTP motor and transmission in your GT? Get a 180* T-Stat, a Tuned PCM, Headers if you can afford it, if not get a 3" Downpipe w/ U-Bend Delete, make your own fenderwell intake after the install...if you get headers then you are fine to a 3.5" supercharger pulley...bigger than that too, but no less unless you have a wasy to scan for KR.

Those gxps fast u sure u can handle all that power lol? And like i said from the start read the very first post again and if unsure read again i was lookin for somethin to make it easier to install since i was swapping motors and trannys the smaller pulley was jus a idea my mechanic said and everyone made this whole thread from it. Some people helped tho i heard about the cam but then i heard u could install a cam from the wheel well another coupple ideas was the headers or a stall converter and change the gear ratios but in new to the fenderwell intake and downpipe that sounds like it wouldn hurt my pockets to much vs somethin a lil more pricey like the cam or header install.

Quit starting crap after all the fighting has died down kid. And that's right...just because you have mods on your GT doesn't mean squat. It is evident by your posts that you don't know enough to help the guy out.

hold up dawg ive been tried to stop the fighting in the beginning but nobody is gonna get on here and insult me telling me to buy a honda and idk anything about grandprix's and me not say anything about it,and i never said i knew "everything" about gt's or gtp's,only thing i basically even said was i like l36 better than the l67 in a nutshell,im intitled to my own opinion and i dont believe its anything on here that i said that made me look like idk what i was talking bout, and im sure everyone knows u cant put a stage 2 with a 3.4 pulley without scanning for kr and etc. i was just telling him a suggestion for the future as far as modding his car,so blue91 dont come at me like that i'll be damned if anybody is gonna get on here and disrespect me when i havent came at anybody wrong

No not everyone knows that. The problem is a lot of the time now when people try to help some one new, the new guy gets PO'd because he was misinformed before and will have to spend more money than he thought. When I first got my GTP I was looking at the stage kits. I am glad I found this place before I tried running a 3.2 pulley with a cai, 3"dp, t-stat etc. I would have toasted my engine. Everything just kinda fireballed in this thread. Blue has a write up that is sticked as shown in the two links. I bet it will be hard to find someone that will tell you that that is the wrong way to go about modding.

Na i didnt get mad cuz he told my mechanic off at all but when the noob **** and dont mod stuff came into play i had to speak on that i a put it like this he gave advise and i appreciate it but he said it the wrong way. Now i pretty much going to second guess my mechanic when he tells me stuff or find somebody else to put it in for me. Im know a lil about gt upgrades but considering my car is going to basically become a gtp under the hood id figure id get some advice from gtp folks.
