    stick a filter on the end of the throttle body, problem solved

    although if you absolutely HAVE to blow a bunch of money on something you dont need to, i recommend the wizaired intake from zzperformance.com

    does making one out of pipe and putting a good filter on the end really perform better then the stock one that is basically the same thing? im not bashing on the homemade or the ones that places make em im just interested because if they really help ill just have to make my own

    yes they are better. open and larger cone can inhale more air plus if you make a straiter tube that helps also.

    I used 3" PVC and a Spectre cone filter (you can get them at auto parts store)

    You have to worry about heat dont you? If you sick a open filter in your car your just sucking in hot air! Thats so bad for your car Bad MPG and even worse timing retard! Get one that comes with a box to block dout the heat! If you can afford it get the Wizaired Cold Air Induction System

    If you suck hot air into your car your maf will tell it to retard the timing making it worse? Do you not have a maf on your cars?
