I have an '02 GP gt , I did the LIM ( thanks to dubobs vid) and the front head gasket here a couple months ago. replaced wires plugs, plenum, ect.
I did not pull the back head off . I have been getting a a backfire-pop when I stomp on it , its hesitates, ect. I took it to a garage and had it put on a machine, mechanic said try replaceing the coil pack for 6, I did that and power seemed to improve, until a couple days later,
I'm kinda out of idea at this point, I have switched injectors and injecter wires and still keep getting this cylinder 6 misfire, is it possible for the front cylinder to be poping and for some stupid reason the computer read it as a cyl 6? At least if that were possible then I would pull the valve covers off and re-check the torque on the rocker arms?

    Any ideas guys??

BOUNCE them off me !!!!!!! Thanks!

Cat converter might be clogged. Does it run better if you unplug the MAF sensor?

The bad MAF would make the car die, not misfire...at least not a random one.

How does the plug look? Replace the wire? Maybe it got damaged? Also, check the ICM. That might be the issue you might have to replace that...
