break free the 4 pulley bolts in the water pump pulley, then take the belt off, then take the power steering pump off, then take the water pump bolts out, the 4 long bolts, coolant will come out these holes, its normal. you want to use some thread sealant on these 4 bolts when re installed. clean the timing cover well. use a new dry gasket, make all your bolts tights and your done. get your belt back on and then make the 4 little pulley bolts tight.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

It's actually very easy. We took the bolts off the coolant reservoir and moved it out of the way, then took the alternator off because it was in the way. Iirc, that was the only extra work required. Once those two things are out of the way the pump is pretty accessible. You may need to remove your passenger side wheel for easier access to the bottom bolts, and I recommend either getting Gates or Dorman metal coolant pipes to replace the plastic ones while you're swapping the pump.
