I'm putting a Transgo shift kit on my 97 gp but the spacers doesn't fit onto the pins. The pins are bigger than the spacers. This is first time I've been in the transmission. I'm so confused and car is on jacks with no other way of transportation. Could it be that the last owner was in here before me??

Drill the spacers larger so they fit.

Haven't had that issue before but it's not a huge issue if you have a drill.

Does anyone know if I can order a spring for the 2-3 accumulator for the top of the piston? Mines was missing when I popped the accumulator open smh. I need a part number would be appreciated.

What is the part number of the Transgo you are installing? I wouldn't drill anything, if its not right send it back. Stop into any local transmission shop and explain what you have going on. Sounds like more going on in there and someone could have done something wrong before. Take lots of pictures also. These shift kits are super easy to install, if need be put it back together until you have the correct parts.

Another note seeing as how it is a 97, if your car is not a GTP it has a 4t60e vacuum actuated tranny. It was a 97 model year only thing on SE and GT so if your trying to install a 4t65e shift kit in it that is most likely your problem with nothing fitting.

Damn didn't think about that. Its a 97 se but it has the 3800 engine in it as it was an option during that time of production. I'll look for markings on the tranny to confirm if its a 4t60e

On a side note..I did put in the better springs that came with the kit...probably isn't beneficial w/o the spacers
