Does anyone know the torque spec for the side cover bolts on the lower intake. I have intake off and replacing gaskets and wanted to change out this little cover gasket as well bit can't seem to locate torque specs for these two bolts.
    Thanks

I'm sure it's in inch pounds but just go snug on them. You do not want to strip the aluminum intake bolt holes.

Even on the intake manifold itself, I've seen bolts snap even on stock torque specs. Just go nice and snug on everything, the german spec of "good and tight" is plenty.

Infact I never torque anything on a 3800 unless it's a headgasket or something. Takes too long to spec stuff.

Thanks, guys....btw does anyone know what happened to the GPONA website? I am a member over there and that is where I access the service manual and it has been down for the last few weeks. Anyone know what's up?

    Thanks again,

I put up service manuals for 04+, 90% of the info should be the same as 97-03.

I just did mine last week. I did mine wrist tight with a 1/4 drive ratchet. Same torque I put on the throttle body bolts. I did the upper intake at 89 inch pounds though.
