I'm wanting to give my car some sort of exhaust note. I've driven a 96 Chevrolet Z71 with no cats and glass packs so this is a whole new world. I don't want it to have that v6 trying to sound like a v8 sound but more of the tuner type exhaust note. I don't have the money for the zzp exhaust that's a complete cat back system. I found the magnaflow 14829 and it seems to sound closeish to what I want. Any help is needed.

3800 sounds like poop. Stock exhaust sounds best on it.

    Catless with a quiet muffler.

Keep the resonator, that's about it.

I had the borla catback and it was the best sounding exhaust I've owned on a 3800. Only paid 250 used in great shape which is the only reason I got it in the first place.

I've heard Borla mufflers in person and they sound really nice. If you're on a budget and just want to change the tone of your exhaust, Dynomax Super Turbo is a good choice.
