Hey I recently replaced my outer tie rod end on my front left wheel now I hear a cracking sound when I turn. Did I put the tie rod end on too close to the transmission or not close enough?

get an alignment. replace the other tie rod first tho, cause if one was bad the other is not far behind it.

they are a flat rate fee. most shops are about $75. make sure they have a computer alignment rack and can do 4 wheel alignments.

Would they align my tire rods on both ends because I replaced both of them recently and align both of my cv shafts?

they do the whole car no matter what. parts wear stuffs not in alignment any more.

cv joints got nothing to with an alignment. unless you took the strut off the knuckle.

for real tho, change the other tie rod end, or you be spending 75 bucks again in a few months when it takes a crap also..parts like that you just change in pairs, unless you hit a curb and broke one or something like that.

well at least you have a honest shop. some would have just done the work and f-ed you up the ass.

you may as well change the lca;s too. car will feel like someone elses when your done. aka so much better.

theres cheap struts on ebay for like 220 shipped, all 4 struts. they say 10 year warranty. i was thinking about getting them when the time comes for my car.

    lower control arm.

these things. they have your ball joint on the end, they go bad too. chances are your over due for them too. they run about a 100 for the pair shipped. dorman work fine. also get new sway bar end links if you do the lca's. most of the time you need to cut them off, the bolt rusts up solid. they are like 10 bucks.

not a fan of junk yard struts, thats a real hit or miss deal.

I'm going to the junkyard to get 2
Front hub bearings, and both struts. Ill buy the passenger outer tie rod new. But I just called auto zone to see how much would the front lca's would be and they told me 89 dollars each so I might just go to the junkyard to get that also

if you play with the discount codes you can do multiple orders breaking down the price to just over the min amount of money to make the largest discount code work.

lca's one order, hub another, pick it up local 30 minutes later. retailmenot has codes.

sorry, buy stuff on line, way cheaper. rockauto is like 42 a side for the lca's local price is murder.

the hub, but it at advance auto on line use a code, you get a good brand for under a 100 bucks with a 3 year warranty thats local. timkin skf and moog are the three to use. the rest are crap really.
