I wont be able to complete my top swap for probably 6 months from now due to lack of time and another vehichle unless something goes wrong. So im trying to do supporting mods. I have fwi right now i wanted to do rockers but dont have experience changing springs so if i got er rockers would they still be good to use when i switch over to the top swap? Also is the front plog and 3" downpipe good for my exaust needs i dont think ill plan on going over 260-280whp. I heard some people just say get headers but im basically an entry level back yard mechanic and headers seem like themly might be a little to much for me.

If you can do a topswap, you can do headers...and 1.9s and springs would be great, the heads are already off so the springs are easy.

just do the rockers and headers on the top swap, why install springs two times. or headers two times. modding a na engine is kinda worthless really.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

While he's doing his top swap, does it make sense to consider a cam at the same time, rather than rockers?

The heads have to come off, so springs are a no-brainer. But since the balancer also has to come off, is it that much more work to remove the timing cover and swap out the cam?

A top swap is probably the best possible time to change a cam

Exactly! Wait til you are ready with the top swap and do it all at once. I also recommend Speed Daddy Headers, new springs and rockers (well really a cam but rockers second choice).
04 GP GT- top swap, VS cam, 2.8 pulley, E85, headers, 60 injectors, TEP 3:29 trans, Racelogic Traction Control, ZZP dyno tuned.

I wouldn't even consider rockers if the motor is out.

    Cam or no beef.
