I recently changed my front control arm on each Yt and the complete axle shaft on drivers side bcuz thr boot was ripped and nvr noticed.
Anyway, i hear a cracking noise everytime i turn the wheel. And it wasn't present before. I started with front torx bolt then i put the ball joint on and lastly the back bolt, but to get the back bolt on i had to turn the wheel to line it up. Then i tightened everything up while it was jacked up w no load. I bought new stabilizer links again tightened that up w no load and i didn't use a torque wrench. Should i be redoin this?? Thanks

Last time I had a cracking/creaking noise in the front end...it ended up being the rack.

I replaced inner/outer tie rods, hubs, LCA's, End Links, etc.

Nothing changed it, because it ended up being the gear in the rack itself was cracking about under steering load once there was resistance put on it...because up in the air it didn't do it.

Thanks, im gonna take a look at the rack. Hopefully theres a how to on that. One thing i did notice tho is that the hole on the lca for the stab. Link is located closer towards the tranny side by about 2" or so. I believe i hv a 32mm bar and the listing called for a 24mm bar. Maybe my links are under stress, causing that crack. Or my stabilizer bar needs to be swapped out w a 24mm bar.

Pretty sure the Comp G had a larger FSB but I could be wrong.

I do know the 04+ LCA is specific to it...97-03 is different.
