Engine trans engine harness and pcm from a 99-02 gtp would be best bet.
My parents drove to Florida to buy a GP lol so that should say something.

*3100/3400 are known for head gasket issues. The early 2.8, 3.1 and 3.4DOHC 60°s are not.
Nah, they're turds too. It's just that most 3800 owners don't like to admit it. Either that, or they've never experienced a car with some actual balls.
It is rather unfortunate that your dad strong-armed you into buying this thing. Given everything that is wrong with it, it's a $1k - $1,500 car at best. Agreed that the best thing you can do at this point is just fix up what you can as cheaply as possible, and drive it till a catastrophic failure happens.
Scotty, are you saying oil can't get into the coolant if the head gasket fails between an oil and coolant passage? Before I bought my previous GTP, I test drove a GTX that looked to have oil in the radiator and coolant reservoir (extremely dark brown to black).
Wow...one time my dad and I drove 2 hours to see a 1992 Chevy Cavalier Z24 and we didn't buy it. I bought a 1987 Ford Thunderbird with 66,000 miles on it in 2003....you and your father need to talk LOL.
Listen to scotty.
its so rare that the oil passage run down from the top of the head would ever meet a bad coolant port, and then let oil into the coolant, coolant is under way more pressure in the heads.
its almost impossible to happen. unless you have a oil cooler in the rad, then it can happen if the cooler breaks. but id think the coolant in the engine would be a bigger problem really cause if its pushing oil out, its also sucking coolant back into the engine.
