    Hello everyone,

I have a 98 GP SE with a 3.1L. I bought it from a guy who had it just shut off on him while he was driving. No funny noise or clunk, it just shut off. Now it wont fire.

    It has spark

It has fuel pressure (45 psi)

None of the fuses are popped.

Hoping it was the CPS I changed the 7x sensor.

    The car still wont fire.

    Any suggestions?

I have not checked them with a diode, but I can spray starting fluid in through the throttle body and it still wont fire. I can also smell gas in the oil.

How are you testing spark? Have you tested at more than 1 plug with an HEI spark tester? If you can spray carb cleaner in the throttle body and it does not start you either do not have good enough spark, the spark is not at the right time (spark plugs wires going to the wrong cylinder), spark plugs are fouled out or defective, something else is getting into the cylinders (blown head gasket or intake gasket), or you do not have enough compression.

    Did the car overheat?
