Hey. I recently had my 1999 Grand Prix se 3.1L blow a head gasket. I am now currently getting a new engine. The guy I found an engine from, good family friend, said the compression rate for this engine I'm putting in is 185-195. Is that good or just bad? There are 175,000 miles on this new engine in putting In.

Sounds good to me, if all 6 cylinders are at or around that mark, its all good.

I think the 3800's will be around 180 aswell.
