Recently bought a 1998 Grand Prix sedan with a 3.1L.
I'm relatively new to this whole deal.
When I bought it there was way too much oil in it. I didn't think that was a problem.
Now, there is no oil. I'm going to assume having too much oil is not a good thing, and I know that having no oil is bad. Can anyone explain why there would be too much oil, and why in a couple of days it would use it all?

to much oil because of the massive oil leak it has so the previous owner didn't have to keep adding oil to it?
