For one, take off the 2.8 pulley before you blow the motor to smithereens. Read the safely modding your 3800 thread, then look at the visual section for ideas on how to make your car good.
2.8 pulley on a stock engine
gotta love newbs. first get headers. reason bein because your front exhasut manifold needs to be replaced the headers also come with a do to fix the ubend. second beings u want to do more visual get a ram air hood best place to find them is 3800performance.com
Moved...
3.8 not 2.8....my bad.
but i just found out that those pulleys are stock.
So not a damn thing has been done to this car
That's good then. Means you are safe and we don't get to razz you when the engine blows.
Ok..so what was your question?
Im just looking for a second opinion on what i should do to this car.
Its got 212xxx miles on the engine. But its been kept good. looks like its a year old under the hood. you think i should risk it and put money into performance or just stick with cosmetics
Tough for us to say. Some are going to say perforamnce, some would say cosmetic. Me..I say drive it.. enjoy it.. then save your money for the next car with less mileage etc.
Holy cow I was laughing so hard when I saw that picture of a nuke explosion. I wouldn't mod it either with that many miles. Enjoy it while you can.
I wouldn't not mod it.. afterall I am the guy that put a cam in at 186,000 but that's me.
well 1 mod that should be done if u are keeping the stock 3.8 pully is u bend delete will help ur engine alot as for visual just get some lowering springs tint ur tails and windows and some inlays or somthing do some tasteful painting like calipers rotor hats etc
