injectors wont help unless you're outflowing your stock ones.

Dollar for dollar, forced induction should be your first mod.

yeah the only way to make decent power out of this is to turbo it. otherwise youll be spending alot and not seeing too much performance wise.
ive heard alot of decent things about going with 3500 manifolds and heads, theyll flow alot more. but after you do that...turbo it

the 3500 topswap is well werth it, but ive heard some problems with it because the heads dont match the 3100 block 100%

yeah youd probably have to tune or something...i think it bumps up compression.

Which is why I'd always recommend a 3400 Top Swap since the head pattern is correct.

I'm sure a Milzy Cam, 3400 P&P'd Heads, P&P 3400 Intake Manifold, Larger TB, and headers...should net you at least 200 WHP...which would make a decent 14 second daily driver...but don't expect your HP per $ figure to be worth a crap.

I agree but wouldnt starting with a 3400 block be better since the pistons are larger and putting p&p'd 3400 heads and 3500 intake plenum make for a better n/a car,
But starting with a 3100 block and a 3400 topswap(what you said) sounds like a good turbo setup, and milzy gots a turbo cam setup that ive read good things about. what do you think?

This totally depends...is the compression ratio the same?

I'd swap over the 3400 top end if the compression was higher on the 3100, if not...then yeah I'd agree to just toss in an entire 3400...but I wouldn't do that without going through it...that's for sure...heads/cam/P&P'd top end...etc.

from what i found the ratios are the same if not damn close, 3100=9.5:1 3400=9.5:1 or 9.7:1 depends on the year of the motor
Id never just throw a motor in without going through it, while it out a apart then id throw in a cam and 3500 p&p'd intakes, leave the heads alone for now maybe a lite polish and a valve job, and get the block gone through(like align and cly bore) and then when its time for a turbo build then change in the heads or just work with the stock ones

I wouldn't NOT port the heads on a cam build if everything was apart...its one of those "well since its apart" mods that really give you gains.
