so the key wont turn all the way back? under the steering wheel there is a plastic cover 1/2 round under where the key goes, pop that off and stick a pen or small screwdriver in it and turn the key the rest of the way back.
there are write ups how to fix this but what i just said will help till better help shows up, at least your battery wont die tonight.

ive been just turning the engine on and off a couple times til it finally goes back all the way so your fix is better.
