I'm looking for the OEM recommendations for the various fluids for my 96 GP SE.

Power steering fluid - What type? How much of it will I need if I'm flushing the bugger?

Transmission fluid - What type? How much do these trannies hold? I don't even know what transmission this is, so if someone could clarify, that would be awesome. I like that I can lock it into all of the lower gears - My ford is a 4 speed with 1-D-OD so not a lot of options there. I've a question about the gear selection in this, though - Is it a 4 speed with 4th an OD? Can you engage and disengage the OD manually? for trips up hills etc I don't like to have a transmission hunting between OD and D gears.

    Brake - DOT3?

Coolant system - This is where the controversy is going to be. I don't know if it's been a Dexcool car its entire life or not.

Should I wait and see what coolant is in it before I buy more? The car will be home today, hopefully.

Should I keep running DEX? I'm told it's gotten better since the intake manifold fiasco but I thought I'd ask you guys since this place seems to know what's up.

    thanks guys!!

Trans: that should be the 4T60 transmission. 4 forward gears plus a torque converter lock up. You can go between 4th and 3rd for hills, but the trans should do it's thing too. Fluid Dex 3 or Dex 6 is what I'd use.

Coolant: I love the AnyColor coolant. Doesn't matter what was in there before. Flush, fill...done. Same protection, same results...why fight any battles? FWIW there's not a direct link with Dex and intake issues. The intake issues, I've seen on green/Dex/Anycolor etc...once the gasket changed..that's when the problem went away.

    PS fluid: yah, whatever.

Brake fluid: I love to flush a brake system, because the feeling of the new fluid etc in the pedal and stopping power is fantastic. Usually use a synthetic because there is not much of a price difference.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
