Since it's a 3.1L .. you don't have to tell me how it got isn't name. My love of the 3.1L leads me to bumping your thread in the hopes you can get some help.
Cause...I won't give advice past "pour on the gas and light a match" when it comes to a car with that efff'in motor.

thanks bill, actually, her name was not because of the engine.. but hoping it's not a cracked block, but something like a poorly installed freeze plug, or another corroded one that had failed

If it's on a 3.1L.. I pity you. Freeze plug or not.. lol
Torch and walk away is my been messed over by that motor one time too many suggestion.

she'll crank and run a few seconds (this was Saturday when she was first ran in months)
she did run, got me halfway around the block when she died.

okay. here's what we found.. well, the heater core went bad, so it was bypassed, but the person that did the bypassing... forgot to plug the hole in the firewall. but.. she has a new leak. (or the leak was undetected when the firewall leak was going on
