Are these motors interference? There is a 91 cavalier at work that blew the timing chain. Nobody knows at work if it is interference. The owners left it here and gave us the title for it.

yes my timming chain messed up and i bent at least one valve, i changed the heads to the roller rocker style once i knew the heads had to come off. suprise to me too, i also had a friend whos timming chain stretched so much it shut his car off and would not roll over, i put a new chain and gears on and fired right up did not bend valves. the 3.4l dohc is a non interference engine.
