I have been told by 2 different stores that have ran error codes that they believe my transmission control solenoid is having issues. I have recently changed the transmission fluid, but did not look for it when I did. I didn't want to take off the pan again unless I had to, but was wondering how hard it was to get to. I was told that it may be under the pan there, if so it would be easy to get to.

I have searched the forums for various combinations of this, and done many google searches for images that may tell me, but could not find any information on where it was located on a 97 Grand Prix GT. Could someone please help me out with where this might be or point me in the right direction?

    Thank you for any help.

    Mike

I am not for sure but I think it is under the side cover. I think it can be opened without pulling trans out all the way by dropping drivers side sub frame down. Still a ton of work. If anybody knows for sure feel free to correct me.

Here's how you get to the soleniods.

At the point of where I suggest removing the wiring harness, don't. Just unhook the one or so soleniods that are bad to replace.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
