    maybe your tranny is slipping like a muther? what your rpm's when the limiter kicks in?


    or are you flooring it in park, and it cuts out? if so thats normal.

    Thanks for all the reply's -I'm posting this for a friend who doesn't have internet service(shame on him!) By the way he is a 20+ year mechanic -BUT not a tranny tech -this is his wife's car -he is driving trying to figure out what's going on, The rev-limiter kicks in @ 4500 rpm
    below 4500 rpm the tranny shifts OK - so the car is drivable -as long as you don't get on it! Even with his mechanical background -he is stumped
