its best to buy a new axle. once the boot tears the grease comes out, water gets in, and the cv joint is on borrowed time.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

And to top it off, its much easier to just replace the whole axle.

I was hoping to get away with not pulling the axle. Oh well. Thanks for the quick replies.

you have to pull the axle then take it apart then replace the boot. its a mess of a job too.

As Scotty said, you have to pull the axle to replace the boot anyway. Ten times easier to just replace the whole axle.

You will hate life if you try the boot kit. Just replace the axle and save a ton of aggravation.
