I have a 01 gtp with a bad trans, i also have a 04 gtp transmission i was wondering if they are compatible. Or if i have to swap things out or what the difference is. Any feedback is appreciated thanks.

Won't work you need a 97-02 trans

Thats what i was afraid about alright, well i now have a 04 gtp trans for sale, rebuilt with 25,000 miles on it.
