    anyone know how much a TCC solenoid costs with labor and parts?
    1999 GTP Sedan - 3" SLP Headers, K&N Intake, VS cam, poly mounts, ZZP pcm, 3.4" mod pulley, Thrasher shift kit, Pypes racepro, GMPP Handling kit + Trailing arms, Gauges(aeroforce scan, boost, oil psi)

    not cheap...as they are located inside the trans (IIRC its inside a cover plate on the side...so don't have to take the tranny, so at least thats a plus)

    Technically you don't even have to drop the tranny to take the side cover off, but any shop you take it to isn't going to know that.

    what about the EPC solenoid, my brother was asking if we could probably reach it without dropping the trans

    All of the solenoids are in the same side cover.

    You may be able to change solenoids without dropping the trans completely out of the car, but it will have to be almost dropped out in order to get the clearance needed to get the side cover off. If you get that far, you might as well change them all or get an upgraded valve body with the TCC revisions and change the solenoids, and also a new boost valve. FWD transmissions are not made to be easy to work on when in the car....

    thats a good idea, i'll look into them all, thanks for the info

    I like manuals better, haha, lighter and less of a hassle, although I've never worked on a fwd manual trans...
