Is anyone running a TEP custom built Torque Converter?

I am, with the performance street/strip 4T65e, its not the $800 one tho and its not stalled to 3k, but so far it feels great and the converter locks up nicely and from a dig really gets the tires spinning
I think TEP is the way to go
There is a good chance I'll be running one. So far have heard nothing but good things. Now they come with a 5 year warranty which is unheard of for a converter.
Having the billet one will be for piece of mind. Prevents converter from ballooning under the high hp applications.
It was a custom built one that was a deal when you bought the entire transmission, im sure if you shoot them an email with some questions on them they will be able to give you more info, BTW they were great to deal with.............

I'm running the custom built billet pump cover converter in my LeMons race car. Had it set up for a 2890lbs race weight with full fuel tank with a tighter converter than stock...no need for a high stall in a road race application.
So far we only ran 1 race with it and has work flawlessly for an endurance application, lower stall = less heat build-up.
I ordered the custom Precision TC from Dave a few days ago. Once that is in, the trans comes out.
I'm sure Sal will chime in but I'm pretty sure he got the Billet one. I'll be running one soon hopefully....have only heard good things about them.
HeavyKevy is running one in his turbo regal, and they are shooting for 700whp this year, and are going to lock the converter at WOT. We'll see what happens there.
Dave emailed me a while ago. TC is on the way to me.
My billet cover converter should have shipped today as well. Something like $843 with shipping. I asked for a tad tighter stall, 2800-3000 since I didn't go with a gigantic turbo. Gotta finish building the trans then I'll have it all together.
I ran a 3000 stall Precision Industries multi-disc converter in my 95 Mustang with a Kenne Bell twin screw. They are the best converters in the buisness, without question. One of the great things about PI too is that if you're not satisfied with the stall you bought, they will change the stall for you one time for free. Good stuff, strongest and best converter out there.
