i ordered and had one of trannyman's rebuilt trannies done on my car along with a 1"GM chain and 300M input shaft with 3.29 gears. i changed/uploaded the corresponding gear ratios as well as lowered the mph for each gear. no DTCs and the car just went passed 70miles of break-in period. i started getting on it gradually once i got near 80miles on the tranny. i noticed at 75mph my RPMs at just under 3000RPMs with the TCC unlocked and at cruising speeds of 12% at 65mph the RPM's at just under 2400. does that sound right for those who has 3.29s?
also i followed trannyman's advice and bypassed the tranny lines that use to go through the OEM rad then to my GM auxilary cooler to just the GM cooler alone. i noticed earlier today i had gotten on the throttle quite a bit, not 100% throttle, but occasional 80% on the freeway and noticed my tranny temps were already in the 215-220*F o_0? i guess the GM auxilary tranny cooler's not effective enough or something else is wrong with ths picture? i just heard ppl say that high mileage rads tend to leak and coolant would get sucked into the tranny lines and eventually destroy the tranny itself. bare in mind the OEM radiator is the original radiator with 156K miles on it. should i replace the radiator and go back to have the tranny fluid route through the rad then to the auxialry tranny cooler again?
btw-thanks for tannyman and his tranny, i like it so far. havent done any from a dig nor went 100% throttle yet.![]()
