yea, thats basically what i heard. the tranny only has 4k-5k miles on it though? o btw, i actually had the tranny on its side when i drained it. i'd say about a quart of fluid poured out. i recall the owner drained as much as he could before shipping it, saving on weight(i e-mailed him again to confirm) for what its worth.

Keep in mind that a Flush is not really a Flush it is just a fluid exchange and nothing more, it is not flushing anything out of your trans except replacing old fluid with new through the cooler lines. That magnet doesnt look too pretty for being a fairly fresh trans so you may want to pull the diff cover and make sure the diff looks ok. Hopefully since your output shaft was a clean break it didnt cause any damage, I went through a trans not too long ago for someone that broke an aftermarket output shat and it was in multiple pieces and caused a lot of internal damage and its a good thing we went through the trans because it wouldnt have worked because the ratching sprags were seized up from the shock when it happened, 4th shaft was damaged, and a few other problems were found where the output shaft rides.
