The solenoid replacement cost is almost more or very similar to the cost of a junkyard tranny. As stated by Scotty, did you change the filter as well? I'm pretty sure the kit comes with the new filter and gasket.Originally Posted by z99intrigue

Yes, changed filter and added new fluid to replace what came out of the pan. This was the first time since that it acted up. I came home, and left again about 15 minutes later- no problems whatsoever. Im hoping it was just a fluke, prior to it shifting hard I had been sitting in stop and go traffic for a while, so maybe that was what did it.
