Trans was freshly rebuilt about a year ago, maybe 3000-4000km on it so far.

Few issues popped up since I did a motor swap, and seem to be getting worse as well.

When the trans is cold up to about 120*F it will slip when moderate throttle is applied.

When the trans is hot +190*F it will delay shift from 1-2 or stick in 1st gear and while its shifting completely dis-engage. Also when coming to a stop it will remain in 2nd gear when trying to accelerate.

Here's what I'm thinking so far, either is a PCS, clogged filter, or electronic issue.

From 120*F - 190*F the trans works fine for the most part.

Have you checked the fluid level and condition? Check the wire harness connection on the top of the trans and make sure nothing is broken/loose/bare.

Fluid level is good and clean, I'll double check the wiring.

I'm going to eventually piece together a shift kit and replace the filter while I'm at it, if that doesn't help I'm taking it back to the shop that did the rebuild.

I replaced the fluid and filter first , didnt work.. then changed the two shift solenoids and the TCC and PCS Solenoid with some new fluid ... Worked perfect.. Did they 50000 kms ago and my dad now has the car ...

sadly when a trans shop does a "rebuild" they dont change every last part, only what was broken, so if 1 st gear was slipping, but not 2 or 3 rd, they will only change the 1 st gear clutches. sensors will be reused as well aka pcs and tcc. shift solenoids and so on.

if your still under a warranty take it right back to them, why should you have to pay for this if its covered?
