Imagine how most bikes are faster than cars. This guy wasn't trying too hard to take off, thinking .. old car.
Next thing he realizes.. the lines are zipping past us fast and this is sitting next to him. Not exactly looking too fast beyond a little splash of chrome.
Then take this sound clip and multiply the sound by double/triple due to more mods and smaller pulley.
Pretty sure he heard me long before he saw me.
Here's the startup with the full boat of mods. (S3 heads, S1X cam, 1.8 rockers, Gen V on 2.9", full size IC, 4" intake with N* TB, EWP, fully built trans with 3.29's, etc etc etc etc.)
ARE YOU LOSING TRACTION ON A HIGHWAY PULL IN A FREAKING HBODY???
I love it.
No, that was blower whine.
After doing one of everything (second vid) the tires would rip free from 45mph on dry pavement. Some of the mods included drag bags and pumping up the air struts in the back. This led to almost no weight transfer that allows the front to lift and spin. My front would stay planted and still spun.
Hence why I have four or five pictures like this.
That's the input speed reluctor wheel. Screwed with loctite, tighter tolerance pins, didn't matter. i egged the holes in the hardened drive gear and ripped the wheel off the gear. (many times)
Which led to the Bonneville no longer being in my driveway or modded.
I have been looking for drag bags for my car it really dips down in the back... Cant find anything good.
yeah, they don't make them for our cars. If they did my Regal wouldn't look reverse raked.
Awesome stuff really... I'm picturing the awestruck face on the biker!
