Is a shift kit safe to install on a 4T65E-HD transmission that has 120k miles one it? I'll be changing the filter within the next 2 weeks and was just wondering if it would be worth it. From a reliability stand point.

    Yes, its always safe.

I'd suggest a trans go kit off ebay for about 50ish bucks.

No, do not buy from ZZP.

Transgo shift kit is way better.

I just thought about this. I do have the ZZP 1.0 PCM which does the following (and more). I thought I remember reading that if the Transmission line pressure is increased you should not install a shift kit. Is that the case?

    Speed limiter removed
    Raised rev limiter
    Raised shift points
    3-1 and 4-2 skip shifts
Programmed for race pellet added timing
    Transmission line pressure increased
