So, I was taking a look at this here:

    JET Performance 70701 - JET Shift Commands - Overview - SummitRacing.com

And wondering if there was something similar for the 4t65e-HD.

If not could this device be jury-rigged to work with the 4t65e?

I mean, I can't imagine that the signals it sends would be too much different.

(This is probably a stupid question, I know. You don't have to tell me that.)

    My answer is no.

    What car do you drive?

97-00 GTP's have a performance shift button, 01-03 cars have something of the same sort built into the PCM so it does the button for you.

Is this only GTP's? I've noticed my GT has very different shift points if I'm a little heavy on the throttle.
