It's not borrowed time because the 4th hub shaft stripped out. That's a totally normal occurence on the trans.

So the tranny shouldn't fail because of that you are saying? I have to drive 70 miles one way twice a week, I was making sure that I "shouldn't" have any problems then. I didn't see any flakes in the tranny fluid when I checked it, the check engine light is on and a couple tranny techs told me to get it scanned first to make sure what is the true problem. Thanks for all the replies and tips everyone, cool forum!
Your tranny WILL fail it is just a matter of time now, typically it takes a few months to eat itself from where you are now. How lucky do you feel? Schedule a re-build now![]()
