Ive had my trans looked at a couple of times now and for some reason the techs say its ok. But its slow to shift into gear, sometimes with a bang even. At low acceleration I hear a grinding noise coming from under the hood on the transmission side. And last night I was turning left onto a backroad and I accelerate normally when it popped out of gear, got to about 4000 rpm then jammed back in so hard that it spun the tires and the TC activation warning came on. Is a simple shift kit going to solve this or is my trans a sitting bomb?

Just had the fluid replaced not more than a week ago. Otherwise no work on the trans

how many miles, and did you have it flushed or just a pan drop and new filter?

did you have this problem before the trans fluid service?

un hook the battery for an hour, this will reset everything, the trans will shift somewhat differently as it relearns how you drive. like short shifts. just drive it nice for the next day or so. that may be a temp fix.

a trans shop should be able to scan for codes or drive it and scan it.

Im going to have to replace the battery soon anyways so I hope that helps. The only thing that really worried me was it has lagged before like that, but never lagged THAT bad before
