But they have nothing to do with each other and aren't even tied together anywhere but the PCM. Even then it's still a stretch. The TCS/ABS system is controlled by the EBCM, which talks to the PCM over the OBD2 bus, which controls the transmission.

hmmmm...ok i bought this car with an aftermarket pcm...not sure which one it is...but i have heard stories of zzp's pcm's screwing up sometimes...is this true and what are the chances that the pcm may be the culprit of this whole problem with abs.. trac off and p1811 code?

They can't turn ABS codes on or off in the pcm becuase they are non-exsistant inside of the pcm. As far as the other code being set I would stay in the mind set that it is your transmission becuase the chances are slim to none of it being anything else. I have NEVER heard of ANYONE being able to do anything to manually turn that code on or changing any tranny settings that would turn that code on.

I think if you set the expected shift time extremely low, then it will cause that problem. See, it's possible (I think) to set it so low the transmission can never reach it. Then, the PCM thinks something is wrong because the transmission isn't performing as it expects it too (taking too long to shift, in its opinion) and sets P1811.

But, this is speculation and Trannyman would probably know better.
